A memory

I was completely out of ideas for blogging today, so I went onto google and looked up blogging ideas. They said to blog about a memory you will never forget. I thought this was a good idea so here it goes!

The last night of vacation in Entiatt. It was just Emily, Brenna, Beth and I. Alex had to leave for camp earlier that day and Thomas was in bed and the parents were all upstairs playing cards or something like that. Anyway, that night was filled with so much laughter. Beth had us all on the floor laughing. Beth was doing all these silly little shows for us and imitating different people. She is such a good little actress.  Beth and I made up our own little greeting "ritual". It is something that we do when ever we see each other; we still do it to this day. It is very hard to explain, so I wont try to describe it to you. Here are some pictures of the night...

This could possibly be my favorite picture ever...

I didn't know that it was humanly possible to make that face that Beth is making

Oh Brenna and Emily...

This was when Beth was putting on a play where she was an ninja, and I was her assistant ninja...

Looking at these pictures just make me smile. Oh Entiatt... PLEASE COME QUICKLY!

Sorry if this was a boring blog post, but I had fun writing it!

What can one find in Amanda's dresser?

My dresser is an interesting place. There are my clothes on the bottom and then on the top of the dresser are two little drawers that hold little random things that I want to keep....(lotion, medals, make up...) all sorts of junk. And it is so easy to say, "Hmm.... What should I do with this little thing? Oh, I will just put it in one of my top drawer of my dresser and get it later!" Soon, things add up and you have a mountain of stuff in 2 little drawers...

My parents told me that I really needed to get that cleaned up, I went up to my room thinking that it would only take a few minutes. WRONG! It has taken me forever! Well, that could be that once I started, I realized I needed to clean out my closet and the clothes in my dresser and the book shelves I have in my room and the stuff under my bed... I kind of felt like the little mouse in the book "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie". You know how the mouse runs into the chain of events he HAS to do only because he wanted a cookie? Well anyways, that was me.

So here is a picture of some of the stuff I found in my drawer...

Socks(?) lotion, medals, old birthday cards, 18 gum wrapers, necklaces, stuffed dog, stuffed panda, iPod stuff, a planner, $20 to Coldstone (!!!!) goggles, a washcloth, packing tape, bubble wrap, about 30 hair bands, bobby pins, a rock, a Disneyland necklace, earings, mints, a notepad, 67 cents, poodle socks (for dance), camera holder, Break the Ice dude that stands ontop of the ice, a house key to my old house, DQ money, ribbon, an old program from a competition I was at a few years ago, ... and some other stuff.

Actually, I would say that I am a very good person at stuffing stuff into small drawers. Cause the drawers are not that big, but I managed to fit ALL of that into it... I am pretty proud of myself.... :)

Off to go finish cleaning what ever else needs cleaning.

RANDOM!

WARNING: THIS POST IS FILLED WITH A TON OF RANDOM THOUGHTS!!

Sun can do some pretty amazing things. When I walked outside after school today and the sun was beaming on my face... it just made me smile. It makes all the things that I worry about seem pointless. It makes me feel like summer is coming... even though we are only in February. Today was just a great day.

I had the chance to talk to my athiest friend who seems to be more and more interested in Christianity today. He asked me why I believe, what I believe, and how that works into my life. It was a great conversation, I think that God might be getting through to him.

And, last night I had an amazing study time in my bible.  Sometimes reading your bible can get boring if you arent really getting any sort of response from God. Well, last night God was totally there and answering alot of things that I had on my mind.

To make things even better, today I actually did a skater jump. That is a dance move that I have been trying to master for about a week. I just got home and thought that I would try it just a few times... and the first one felt like I mastered it.... who knows if I will ever be able to do it again... but I did it once!

And because I seem to be smiling alot today... here is a picture that makes me smile.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Day... If I could sum Valentine's Day up I would say that it is a day where people show each other how much they love each other. You should have seen my school on Friday. Just about every girl was holding an over sized stuffed animal or balloons that said... "I LOVE YOU!" There was actually one guy who stood on the top of the stair case and sang a song to his girl friend at lunch...

So, while I walked the hallways of my school surrounded by a million red hearted balloons I began to think.... "Well, God's love beats any balloon or stuffed animal!" It got me to thinking about how much He loves us. And how His love is love that will never die. Cause in High School, it seems that if you are dating for more than 2 weeks... you are pretty serious. My table of girls that I sit with think it is pretty silly.... I agree. God will always be with us, and He is serious about us. He will stay with me for more then 2 weeks... :) He will love me even when I don't love Him. Can you imagine what it would be like to love someone and give your son for someone who constantly pushes you away, and tells you that you are wrong? I can't. Cause we do that... even if we don't mean to.  I don't know about you... but I could call that extreme love.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not rude.  It is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.  This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:9-10

There is no fear in love.  But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment... WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.
1 John 4:18a-19a

Have a great Valentine's Day!

Just another night at Cubbies

Incase you didn't know, every Wednesday I go to be a leader for Cubbies at our church. Cubbies is a part of the AWANA prgram and it is for the 3-5 year olds. They are so cute... and so full of energy.

So, last Wednesday, my friend Jake had brought his awesome camera. He had to take some pictures of the kids. And so, while he was waiting for some of the kids to come, he took pictures of me and another helper Jason. Jake had to leave soon for basketball, but it was fun while it lasted!

Jumping pictures are awesome... especially at Cubbies :o)

GO JASON!

yea... this is what happens when you are/were homeschooled... you just don't know how to act normally in public...
