Pumpkin, Pumpkin, Pumpkin

I started my Sunday off with a Pumpkin Spice latte. Which, by the way, is the best drink that Starbucks has to offer. No, the peppermint mocha is the best one they have to offer... EITHER WAY, it is a fantastic drink and you should get one before the season is over.

THEN, I came home and carved pumpkins..... YEA! Its one of my favorite parts of fall.  I love the smell of the inside of a pumpkin. Ahhh.... it smells like... like... a... PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE! Imagine that...  :)

They are goofy

GUTS!

Thomas made a 3 eyed pumpkin
 My Pumpkin!!!!!
My mom got violent and made a dead pumpkin

Dad's Pumpkin. It reminds me of Piglet for some reason

The guts are my favorite part.

Thank Goodness It's Friday

I have never been so happy for a Friday. This week has been so hard. Academically and emotionally.  I have been so ready for this week to just be OVER!

So I came home, grabbed some chocolate chip cookies, some milk, the computer and some good music. Ahhh... it felt great to just relax and have a few minutes to myself to zone out and eat some cookies :)

Then Thomas came home and he asked if we could take some pictures on the computer... my answer?... YES!!!!!!!

He found his brother!

The 4 of us are great friends
My little Lewis :)

Last night, around 6:00 pm a North Thurston High School student, Will Johnston died in a car accident.

I hadnt heard about it until I got to school.  I have heard people say that when someone dies in a school, everybody is sad. I honestly didnt believe that this could be true. But today, everybody at NTHS was sad. People were crying all over the place, and all of the teachers seemed down.  No one talked. Lunch was almost silent.

Will Johnston was a Christian and was going to be graduating this year.  I knew Will.  I sat next to him in my second period class.  He was the class clown, he was hilarious, nice, energetic, loved God, was a people person, and was so excited for college and for baseball.  It is so weird for me to think that just yesterday I talked to him, he made me laugh, he went to school, he went to a volleyball game, he was just living life. And now... its gone.  When I walked into second period, the room was absolutly silent. People cried, and I sat there thinking about how Will will never sit in Digital Imaging again... The saddest part was when his best friend came up to his desk and wrote a note that simply said, "I miss you Will". Then EVERYBODY lost it and was crying. Although Will and I were not the closest friends, I knew him and we talked everyday in second period.  Today in Bible club we talked about ways that we could help out his family, how we support his family, but most importantly we talked about where Will is now.  Will was a strong Christian and he believed that Jesus was the son of God and died on the cross for our sins.  Will and I talked about it once.  Imagine how happy he is now, imagine what he is experiencing RIGHT NOW! He is with God.... RIGHT NOW! He is in heaven... RIGHT NOW! No longer does he feel pain, no longer is he stressed about that essay that was due on Friday, no longer does he have to put up with the crap here on earth.  He is in heaven now.... and one day, I will get to see him again and tell him what an impact he made on our school.

On Friday, after the football game their will be a candle light service for Will at South Sound Field.  If you attend North Thurston or just wish to attend, please come, wear red, and support Will and his family.

My Friend Laura

So about 3 weeks ago there was a girl that was new to our church named Laura. I learned that she went to NTHS and so we started talking. I learned that she is from Columbia and that she just moved here about 3 months ago. She speaks English, but I talk to her in Spanish... which is so much fun! She sits by me everyday on the bus and it is my favorite part of the day. I love talking to her in Spanish and in English and she loves to tell me about her culture and her home.  It is so much fun to hear about all of the food they ear, things that happen, and the weather. She said that before she came to Washington she had never been in weather colder then 85 degrees. SHESH! So, today on the bus she was talking about how much she is loving fall. She has never seen trees change color! Isnt that weird to think about? And today she kept talking about how beautiful everything is right now. And it is true, look outside. God did an amazing job when he decided to make trees change color. Everything is orange and beautiful and I LOVE IT! Thank you God for making planet earth so beautiful!

2 Pictures

2 pictures... I have 2 pictures I want to show you. One I am super proud of, and one that just makes me laugh super hard. Lets go with the one I am proud of first...

You might not be able to see it super clearly. But I PAINTED THIS ON A COMPUTER! I have a Digital Imaging class at school and he was teaching us how to create stuff on photo shop. So we started with nothing, and I ended up with THIS! I think its super cool that I started out with a blank computer screen and ended with this! Super fun, it took me like a week, but it is worth it.

And now for the funny one...

Let me explain... So one of my good friends is Alex. Alex has a chocolate touch phone, which is a touch screen. So you can draw stuff on your phone. So, sometimes he will draw random stuff and send it to me. I could have a post full of random pictures Alex send me that make me laugh. But this is the most recent, and I think it is the funniest one yet. So, Alex sends me THIS and then says.... "What do you think it is?" I immediatly went to the thought that it was an Irish dancer. I was right. Oh my, everything about this picture is simply hilarious to me. The wig is HUGE and crazy like an afro. And I am sure that is what it looks like to anyone who is not an Irish dancer. And then the leg is in "action" and the hands on the hips. Makes me laugh. I showed my dad this picture on the way to school, and he was laughing pretty hard at it. So, thank Alex for a good laugh...

Happy Thursday!
