A big hodge podge of happiness

Well... I have 3 days of school left before winter break, the house is all decorated, I dont have a lot of homework, I got to sleep in, I've got a fun day planned tomorrow with Jake, and I get to wear sweatpants all day long. I'm just a big bundle of happiness right now.  And to celebrate: here are pictures that just over flow with happiness. :)

I love this chica... mucho.

Is it weird that I LOVE these 2 more then most things. And that I freak out when a new picture of them is posted in facebook cause it is just too much cuteness for my eyes to handle?

...Yes...

Ahhh summer
Side note: THIS is the best Christmas album. Michael Buble is my favorite... well him and Jack Johnson... and tenth avenue north... ok, maybe I have a lot of favorites.

Baby Anna

Just pray. Maddie's Aunt is going to be giving birth to their daughter tomorrow.  The baby has some major heart problems that can only be fixed by a miracle.  This has been on my heart constantly all week and especially tonight, as the big day is tomorrow. I am praying that Anna comes out and the doctors know exactly what to do, that the parents are given peace and understanding in whatever God's plan is for thier little girl, and that God would be evident throughout the whole process.  Anna has obviously made big impacts on peoples life before she has even been born and I am anxious and in prayer for what is going to happen.

Here is a link to her blog!

Thanksgiving

I am thankful for...

JESUS! My Salvation. The fact that Jesus would come down to earth and die for my sins. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!

My Family: I am becoming more and more aware of how blessed I am to have a family who really does love each other and loves God.

Dance

New Friends

Myranda

Anna

Alli: My incredible Alli. God has totally had his hand over this friendship. She is an amazing girl and I am incredibly thankful to have her as an incredibly close friend.

Emily: Can you think of anything better then living with someone who absolutely cracks you up and knows every little thing about you? Hello sisterhood... I love you Emily.

Thomas: Come on.. what kind of girl gets lucky enough to have a brother that is passionate about everything he does? Makes her laugh daily, is super duper cute, a future ladies man, polite, funny, generous, and caring?Aparently I do!

Maddie: Where does one even begin with Maddie? I am so thankful that God put her in my life. She is sometimes the ONLY reason I will go to school. She always seems to pick me up and bring me closer to God. Thank you Jesus for a sister like Maddie!

Jake: So thankful that God gave me a boyfriend who is incredibly funny, polite, sweet, a follwer of Christ, and basically just the best person alive!

Creation: Take just a minute and think about how boring and dull life would be without a beautiful world to live in? We dont deserve color, trees, grass, sunny days, sunsets, forrests, rain... But we are given it. Thank you!

Just take a moment to take a deep breath and realize what God has given you... Ahhh... feels good doesnt it?

Melting Pot

Well... sense we are learning about how America is a "Melting Pot" in AP US History, which is my FAVORITE CLASS (I hope you are able to catch the sarcasm even though this is only through a blog post)... I figured this blog post would be a melting pot of everything going on in my life. Just throw in some random stuff..

TO START! This weekend has been so much fun! On Saturday I hung out with Jake for the majority of the day. Our day long date consisted of Tye-dye, a trip to Joannes, Starbucks, Happy Teriyaki, 24, Cars 2, Limeberry, and just being bums sitting on the couch talking and wathcing movies with Tessa and Piper. GOOD DAY! Thats a perfect day in my opinion. Wanna make happy? Just give me a day to hang out with Jake and do all sorts of fun stuff like that. Tye-dye was a SUCCESS! My shirt turned out amazingly, so did Tessa's and Jakes.

So... We had to go to Joannes to get the tee shirts for the Tye-dying and so Amy went with us cause she needed to get some yarn for knitting. And we basically bought out the yarn department. Let me tell you... People at craft stores and a breed of their own... Anyways... Jake and I were the yarn carriers. And this picture below basically wraps it up. Jake had to put his coffee cup in his pocket cause we had so much yarn. And this picture just cracks me up... Goodness...

Lets just take a moment to bask in the amazing-ness of this glorious picture....

....
....
....

Okay... Now, not only am I standing next to my favorite person... BUT!!! Starbucks has brought out the Red Coffee cups. WORLD! This is a big deal for me! I dont think you truely understand how much I love these cups. Jake makes fun of me cause I love them so much and doesnt see the TRUE BEAUTY of these cups... Ahh... So he bought me my first Peppermint Mocha in a red starbucks cup.... What a keeper. :)

Moving right along... last weekend was North Thutsons homecoming... so Maddie and I were rebels and didnt want to go. So we hung out for the whole day and had a total blast. We were laughing so hard the whole day, which isnt anything out of the ordinary for us... but goodnes.... my gut hurts after hanging out with Maddie cause all we do is laugh and laugh and laugh. We think we are hilarious. Its crazy. BUT! We wanted to make tee shirts. And being the 2 clever girls we are, we wanted to make tee shirts that made a smiley face. So my shirt had the parentheses on it, and hers had a colon. So when we stand next to each other it makes a smiley face. Oh gosh... we crack ourselves up

                                 See how funny we are?

Goodness... but the true adventure was when we had to go to Michaels to go get the tee shirts. We are total creepers and took pictures of every freak on the street. And for some reason, all the whacky people of Lacey decided to come out of their cardboard boxes on this sunny Saturday.

Example A:

Capturing this picture of Maddie's husband took a lot of effort. But once we got it.... well lets just say Ive never been so proud.

Example B:

This is Maddie and I in 50 years

Example C:

And then the shirt making began...

My cute little hobo/lumberjack best friend...

ACTUALLY! This was my proudest moment. This picture was taken on accident and is priceless... the more you look at it the funnier it gets... My goodness...
Yummy Normas for dinner!

This was taken after we pulled over cause we were laughing so hard. I was crying and couldnt see... so we pulled into one neighborhood and just laughed for a solid 5 minutes. Holy cow... we crack ourselves up.

Love her.
And the lady in the Pumpkin suit...
Then to top off this whole glorious post... I got to see my 2 youngest cousins today. Mia and Ania dropped by with my Uncle for Nachos and just hanging out. And Ania was cracking me up... Just look at this...

These are pieces to a puzzle, but they were so funny when she would put them up to her eyes... Funny girl.

In conclusion... Life is wonderful... absolutely wonderful.

Fall=Fun

Fall = Pumpkins = Carving Pumpkins = Fun.
So we come to the conclusion that Fall=Fun. Its quite simple if you ask me.

Last night Jake came over and we carved pumpkins, watched the world series... ate some sort of yummy noodle dish thing my mom made up, watched it POUR outside, watch a Cosby show.... I loved it. So much fun!

Oh ya know... Just another day at the Arend house.

Hello my love.... I love Pumpkin guts. Its kinda weird how much I love them. The smell and the feel of it runnning between your fingers.... heaven.

Let me just say that Jake is a perfectionist... He took forever on his pumpkin, in a good way. But He had to make sure ALL the Sharpie marks were off before he was actually done. But, his pumpkin did turn out pretty darn good if I do say so mysef!

He's a keeper...  :)

Matthew 6:27

This verse basically sums up what I am trying to live out right now. Just read it when you get the chance...

ANY WHO! In other news!

Mr. Aufort was super spirited for "College Day" today.  Our homecoming is this Saturday, so we have spirit days every day of the week. He cracks me up. My absolutely favorite teacher, by a mile.

This would be a picture of a tired and relieved me and Maddie. Just finished one of the most stressful weeks of my life (thank you AP US History). So this was on Friday... hence, my look of being absolutely tired and worn out! But a fun football game and an amazing best friend none the less...

First Date

Well... Guess what little blog community? I went on a date. Mmhmm... That's right. And had a total blast. A few weeks ago Jake was talking about Eagens and I said I had never been. So he decided that my life was not complete until I had eaten at Eagens. So ta-da. That was our first date. We went to Eagens, which was delicious... and so filling. Then back to his house to watch 24!

We finished the first season and started the 2nd. It's really fun re watching the episodes all over again. Although I know how it all ends, I still get just as into it and excited when Jack Bauer saves the world from being blown up.

We're a little dorky, but thats what makes this so fun... :)
