Fall=Fun

Fall = Pumpkins = Carving Pumpkins = Fun.
So we come to the conclusion that Fall=Fun. Its quite simple if you ask me.

Last night Jake came over and we carved pumpkins, watched the world series... ate some sort of yummy noodle dish thing my mom made up, watched it POUR outside, watch a Cosby show.... I loved it. So much fun!

Oh ya know... Just another day at the Arend house.

Hello my love.... I love Pumpkin guts. Its kinda weird how much I love them. The smell and the feel of it runnning between your fingers.... heaven.

Let me just say that Jake is a perfectionist... He took forever on his pumpkin, in a good way. But He had to make sure ALL the Sharpie marks were off before he was actually done. But, his pumpkin did turn out pretty darn good if I do say so mysef!

He's a keeper...  :)

Matthew 6:27

This verse basically sums up what I am trying to live out right now. Just read it when you get the chance...

ANY WHO! In other news!

Mr. Aufort was super spirited for "College Day" today.  Our homecoming is this Saturday, so we have spirit days every day of the week. He cracks me up. My absolutely favorite teacher, by a mile.

This would be a picture of a tired and relieved me and Maddie. Just finished one of the most stressful weeks of my life (thank you AP US History). So this was on Friday... hence, my look of being absolutely tired and worn out! But a fun football game and an amazing best friend none the less...

I am so blessed to have a best friend like Alli. She is an incredible sister in Christ and I love her more then she knows!

He's the best!

Now THIS my friends... is attraction at its finest...

(Oh... and the title of this post is a word Alli and I made up that means love)  :)

First Date

Well... Guess what little blog community? I went on a date. Mmhmm... That's right. And had a total blast. A few weeks ago Jake was talking about Eagens and I said I had never been. So he decided that my life was not complete until I had eaten at Eagens. So ta-da. That was our first date. We went to Eagens, which was delicious... and so filling. Then back to his house to watch 24!

We finished the first season and started the 2nd. It's really fun re watching the episodes all over again. Although I know how it all ends, I still get just as into it and excited when Jack Bauer saves the world from being blown up.

We're a little dorky, but thats what makes this so fun... :)

Here's the Dealio

I've realized that I have been blogging about random nothing-ness... which is the stuff I like to read. But not about whats going on in Amanda World. And when looking back on this blog, I want to know what was going on in Amanda World... So here we go... brace yourself.

School is busy... really busy. But a good busy. I've been getting a lot more involved with the Reinissance Action Team (RAT pack). That includes a lot of after school activities and organizing stuff. I love it!

Mr. Aufort is the best teacher North Thurston has... love Chemistry!

Having lunch with my new buddies Myranda and Avery is really fun. They are strong Christian girls that always seem to put a smile on my face and make lunch enjoyable. ALTHOUGH! I still so badly miss having lunch with Maddie... It is painful to pass her while going to lunch and only get to talk for like 1 minute and then leave... Ugh. Next year we WILL have lunch together cause this is ridiculous!

Maddie and I have Spanish 3 together... and we pass notes.. bad children,  I know. And re reading these notes are HILARIOUS to say the least.... Seriously, seriously ;)

My math teacher is so funny. He doesn't mean to be, but he is. He is an ex military man... so he talks in this booming military voice and tells us these insane stories about the wars he has been in and the incredible things he has accomplished over his life. And the way he talks cracks me up. Great story teller... and great great GREAT at getting off task...

I am signed up for the PSAT.... oh joy

My mother wins... the AP US History Kaplan DOES actually help. Moms are always right. Why is that?

New favorite verse is Jonah 2:8 "Those who worship worthless idols forfeit the grace that could be theirs" Finding all these idols I have that get in the way of the amazing things God could have me experience is exciting and kinda painful. Getting rid of idols is a tough thing to do...

Favorite song of the time would be These Hard Things by NEEDTOBREATHE

Maddie's impression of our math teacher puts me on the floor laughing every time! We both love him, and she can immitate his voice PERFECTLY! Seriously... seriously... ;)

I am loving the rain, although it means I cant really wear my TOMS all day every day

Being uper classmen rocks! Hallelujah! I didn't know what I was missing...

Driving to school with Emily is a hoot. I love having her at school with me!

Youth group is incredible... as always.

Repossess is this up coming weekend.

It is starting to get absolutely gorgeous outside! Love all these colors!

.... And thats about all... Life is busy, but good...

Planking

Now to all you old farts, Planking is the new thing. I personally dont understand it, but it seems to be the thing. And it absolytely cracks me up. All you do is lay down and make yourself as stiff as a board. There is absolutely no point in this... but people seem to think its funny.

For our youth group retreat this weekend we had a HUGE scavenger hunt throughout Tacoma. It went all the way from the Tacoma dome to Stadium High school with all sorts of stops along the way. All by walking or talking the Tacoma Sound Transit. So much fun! By all the time Ryan and Jonathon would yell... "PLANK!" and then they would both plank at some random spot... It cracked me up... there was no point and it was really stupid, but it kept making me laugh!

Marmot to the power of 3

Matching jackets for a youth group retreat?.... I think yes...

A girl and her dolls

A few nights ago Emily was cleaning out her room and she found our old American Girl Dolls. Emily and I were obsessed with these dolls for the longest time and loved dressing them up. Ahh the memories... but when she found these she came into my room to show me them again and we were laughing about these dolls and the facial expressions that they have... holy smokes... Emily then started imitating them and it was just all down hill from there... the face she made was hilarious!

 Which one is Emily?

Emily and I with our first dolls...
